With the highest-selling rap album of 2021, MoneyBagg Yo takes a commanding lead.

MoneyBagg Yo has the year's best-selling hip-hop record so far, and he'll keep it for another month.

MoneyBagg Yo is having a tremendous year, with the highest commercial figures of his career. The Memphis rapper has been consistent for much of the last five years, but in the pandemic, he pushed himself to new heights and set a new record for hip-hop musicians with the most album sales for a release this year.

MoneyBagg Yo has the largest number of sales on a rap album published in 2021, according to HitsDailyDouble, and he's held that position for the last thirty days, taking an even larger lead.

MoneyBagg Yo has sold 777,000 copies of his new album A Gangsta's Pain, the highest of any rapper this year, according to the latest figures. With 723,000 sales on The Off-Season, J. Cole has climbed to second place, while Pooh Shiesty has dropped to third with 712,000 units. Doja Cat, Lil Baby and Lil Durk, Lil Tjay, Young Stoner Life Records, and DJ Khaled filled out the top five, with Doja Cat, Lil Baby and Lil Durk, Lil Tjay, Young Stoner Life Records, and DJ Khaled rounding out the top ten.
MoneyBagg Yo appears to have the top slot nailed down at this point—at least until Drake, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar drop.
