Liberian track star Emmanuel Matadi journey at the Olympic has ended


Emmanuel Matadi competed in the first round of the men's 100m event on July 31. Matadi did not make it to the semifinals, unfortunately. Matadi finished seventh in his heat and 35th overall with a time of 10.25. 

Matadi revealed in a Instagram post that he is dealing with a "minor hip ailment" that has hampered his effectiveness. His greatest score this season is a 10.01. 

In addition, he announced that he will not be racing in the men's 200m race on Tuesday, August 3. 

Matadi always putting Liberia first and representing the country with such dignity and composure.
