An Exclusive Interview with Michelle Doe

Michelle Doe is a socialite, an actress and a former blogger. The socialite gave us exclusive look into her creative space. Check out our interview below:

Congratulations on your July 26 photoshoot! Can you please tell me about the photoshoot “who” and where the inspiration came from?

Ans: Wow, thanks for the recognition!! It was actually a collaboration with one of my favorite Liberian designers “MssGlam”. She was the mastermind, I think I was just a vessel of her vision. We wanted to depict a style of dressing in rural parts of Liberia that young women would only tie lappa with beads, and other traditional markings we don’t see every day but we wanted it to make sense for July 26 so body paint was easy for us to portrait that.

What’s the main message to take away from your photoshoot?

Ans: I just want you to look beyond the boobs and see the beauty in our own culture for once.

What do you enjoy the most about being a part of the Liberian entertainment industry?

Ans: The Liberian industry sucks, lol.  It is so backwards and biased. I was kinda thrown into it but I like that I have a platform I can be authentic on and relate to my REAL Liberians. Other than that I hate it here 😂

How do you respond to negative news about you on the blogs?

Ans: It depends, there are bloggers who ONLY posts negative things based on their own personal vendetta with me and to them I play deaf ear cause it’s expected. I believe I’m standing up for myself tho. But I chose my battles. Some things are worth it others aren’t.

What is one message you would like to tell your fans?

Ans: Well for the people that love & appreciate me for who I am, I thank you 🙏. I appreciate each and every one of you. If you don’t ever take any advice from anyone take this; BE YOURSELF. Don’t water yourself down or dim you light to fit into anyone else’s likeness. Strive to be the best you for you.

Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what is it?

Ans: I’m a very creative person. I create a lot and most people don’t know that, lol. I paint, draw & write poetry. I like to create, I’m really good with things like that but I’m really sensitive about my work. I don’t let everyone see it.

What is your go-to song to pump you up?

“Lib Lion”.

What are you up to these days, since you left the blogging industry?

Ans: I recently started a podcast that I’m working on, handling all the behind the scenes work so I can drop consistently. I have some other things In the works but you guys have to wait 🤪

There you have, Michelle Doe has so much more to off us. We look forward to her next move.

10 Reasons Why Lincoln Ward is One of the Most Underrated in the Liberian Entertainment Industry

Over the years there have been a lot of hard working Liberians in the Liberian Entertainment Industry who have worked to push the industry forward.  Most of these entertainment business owners are doing some really great work, but not getting the exposure. One of these amazing individuals is Mr. Ward. He is hard working and technologically savvy. Here are ten reasons why he deserves all of the accolades the Liberian entertainment industry have to offer. Narrowing down his accomplishments to these ten is a major injustice. “God told me I was going to get deported” Bucky Raw Speaks on his Spirituality

Knowing what I know of Jesus, I really shouldn’t have been surprised to learn that Bucky Raw is highly spiritual. But it caught me off guard nonetheless when he told me that he was mentored spiritually by his grand father, Sammy Lor Mahm, who is a preacher. Who knew?  As Bucky Raw outlines the list of things his grand father taught him, he mentions that he was taught to read the Bible in the Liberian dialect, Dan, which he says he is not currently fluent in, but he can try. The rapper who is known for his street hustles, talked about his daily devotions, and mentioned that when he is being more prayerful, God speaks to him more often. He claimed that God told him that he was going to get deported, therefore he got mentality and spiritually prepared for the journey.  Don’t be surprise if the artist hits us with a gospel album someday, it runs in his family, his grand mother was a famous gospel singer.
