Joseph Fahnbulleh Advances to Men’s 200m Semifinal, ranking second place


Joseph Fahnbulleh has advanced to the semifinals of the men's 200m, at a record of 20.46 seconds, one of the fastest times of the day. In his lineup, Fahnbulleh was ranked second. All semifinalists have approximately nine hours to rest and prepare for the following race, which will determine the Olympic finalists. 


Fahnbulleh has a chance to win a medal. The 19-year-old college student is the current NCAA men's 200m Track & Field Champion. Commentators contrasted Fahnbulleh's amazing 2.9 meter stride to world record holder Usain Bolt's 2.69 average at the 2021 Championship.
