Ebony Life Studios CEO Mo Abudu has stated that she will collaborate with Will Packer Productions on an untitled film based on Evan Ratliff's Bloomberg story "The Fall of the Billionaire Gucci Master."
In a highly competitive bid, the businesses secured the rights and have begun work on the movie at Universal Pictures.
Ray Hushpuppi, also known as the Billionaire Gucci Master, is accused of perfecting a simple internet swindle that enabled him to launder millions of dollars.
The film Packer and Abudu are working on is billed as a global action thriller that is a cross between Catch Me If You Can and The Usual Suspects.
Will Packer and James Lopez's Will Packer Productions will produce, with EbonyLife's Abudu producing.
